Our Insanity Costs... a Lot

We are a totally insane people. We allow our politicians to waste our tax money instead of using our billions to mitigate the challenges we face at home. Here are just a few recent examples:

• Shipping pallet loads of $100-dollar bills to corrupt Iraqi warlords and contractors with no accounting whatsoever; 
• Lavishing on to our military billions more than they request – without accounting or demonstrating “how we are going to pay for it”; 
• Creating an entire new branch of the military – the Space Force – without likewise determining how it will be funded and expenditures tracked.
• Failing to override Trump’s veto of his national emergency wall, permitting him to steal funds from a previously approved “military personnel account”.
