Trump has avoided senate approval by naming “acting heads” of various departments, and then never submitting his nominees for senate approval. The “acting head” people are only beholding to him, not to higher authority, e.g. the Constitution or even Congress. Further, most senior position “acting heads” are billionaires or millionaires, obviously incapable of understanding life as mere Americans experience it. Or, worse, they are former lobbyists for corporations they now regulate.
All appear to be dismantling the government entities they now head and deregulating as much as they can touch.
Still, unbelievably, he's gone too far by replacing war criminal, neoliberal John Bolton with Charles M. Kupperman, a maniac who believes nuclear war is “in large part a physics problem”. That it is "winnable" and that the U.S. can tolerate the inevitable holocaust.
In sum, Kupperman believes that, after all, there will be only some 15 million or so dead, not 150 million, due to “…enough planning and civil defense measures, such as ‘a certain layer of dirt and some reinforced construction materials,’ the effects of a nuclear war could be limited and that U.S. would be able to fairly quickly rebuild itself after an all-out conflict with the then-Soviet Union.”
Kupperman, a kind of soulless life form, misses the fact that not only will millions die, but millions more will suffer from horrible radiation aftereffects, starvation and pestilences for untold generations to come.
That’s acceptable to him because he believes the Russians will lose more and we will win because we will have a functioning government and more bombers, subs, aircraft carriers, missiles, drones and tanks. It may take 15 years or so to recover but we will "win" in the end.
This level on insanity far surpasses Mr. Trump’s psychopathic universe.
