Capitol Police & Secret Service on Sympathy Strike

What will it take for Mr. McConnell to allow a vote in the U.S. Senate to fund the federal government and allow federal employees to be paid?

I’ll put my usual bet of 10 cat’s eye marbles on line and say: fear.

Yep, it will take a little fear to motivate the Republican Senate Majority Leader into action.

So what kind of fear will be the catalyst to free Mr. Trump’s hostage-hold from the neck of the USA?

My guess is the fear induced by a massive "sympathy strike", not by masses of people, but just by a few federal employees not currently shutout, namely, the U.S. Secret Service and United States Capitol Police.

Oh, my. Just think about it. The two top politicos responsible for not paying federal employees for the past 30+ days, would now be on their own, face-to-face, to answer the questions of the everyday Joes and Janes they’ve been screwing over.

Just the thought of losing his protection from the voters' questions... that's the ticket. That might just be enough to move Mr. McConnell to allow the vote to proceed.

Problem solved.
