Coyote Visitors

This past Sunday morning, about 8am, we were surprised to find two large coyote visitors waiting for us to take Carli for a walk.

Carli is our 85lb, rescued, mix shepard/lab.

A couple of months ago she successfully survived major surgery to repair the ligaments in her rear knees.
Each day has been a challenge just getting her walking / running strength back. But she is making good progress.

Needless to say, I was not thrilled with the prospect that our two coyote visitors would take advantage of our not-yet-up-to-strength companion.

As coyotes become less fearful they are fast becoming a daily challenge in search of a solution.

Here's a recent WDIV report about our Grosse Ile coyote visitors
