False Prophets, Sheep, Wolves & Fruit

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” Matthew 7:15 & 16.

Blind to the “fruit” of the current work of Republicans House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, many Trump supporters have absolutely no doubt that their man, Pres. Trump, will provide a cornucopia of sumptuous things (fruit) among them: expulsion of “illegal” Muslim immigrants, creation of “good” jobs, “America First” foreign policy and revocation of Obamacare with a replacement Trumpcare program that will guarantee “beautiful healthcare” at reasonable prices for everyone.

Now that Sen. McConnell has unveiled his Trumpcare bill we have some idea of his view, along with Rep. Paul Ryan’s view, of a worthy replacement for their hated Obamacare program.

Thanks to these two men the Senate now has a bill for consideration that is without equal on the biblical scale of evil. If adopted, it will be so hurtful to the most vulnerable, powerless Americans that one must be forced to consider these two leaders and their Republican followers in the House and Senate will rank among the most evil and hateful humans to have lived upon this earth.

Yes, men do gather grapes of thorns and figs of thistles. And their names are: House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

A side-by-side comparison of Obamacare and the GOP’s replacement plans, Noam N. Levey and Kyle Kim, Los Angeles Times, 8 Mar 2017, updated 28 June 2017.
