Behind the Virus Veil

"Powers that Be" unleash a new control tool.*

Early on, that is, only a few weeks ago, Mr. Trump claimed the virus pandemic that is now claiming tens of thousands of lives was a “hoax".

Why would he say that?

Let's ponder the questions for a few minutes. After all, while in lock down and isolation, we have a great deal of time, don't we?

So, to hoaxing, Trumpian style.

Why did he claim the virus was a hoax?

Could it be because the form of hoaxing he practices is lying to profit himself and fellow grifters?

Trumpian Hoaxing is the form of deception, misinformation, misdirection, he has successfully practiced all his life. Hence, why not continue doing so? It works for him. After all, his lack of morality, integrity, and lying supremacy got him the White House, didn't it?

Still, why claim the virus a hoax?

There are obvious answers:

• It's all about ratings. People support the leader in front of them in times of crisis. But, more importantly, the hoax claim has always worked with his loyal supporters – it’s like tossing raw meat to hungry animals.
• To cover his mistakes. It’s easy to deny incompetence by misdirecting attention and blaming the Democrats, Obama, the Chinese, the state governors, even the medical people.

For me, the not so obvious answers for perpetuating the “hoax” claim until as late as 1 Apr is to camouflage the truth and keep people from discovering the objectives behind the virus pandemic, some of which are:

1. Limit voting – by the wrong people. Yes, in one of his “interviews” Mr. Trump mentioned this.
2. End the “social safety net” which has been despised by Republicans since it was put in place by Franklin Roosevelt in the 1930's. To this day, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, “welfare” and Medicare and Medicaid, to say nothing about “Obamacare”, continue to be targeted by Republicans. After all, there is no need for universal healthcare if the elderly and unhealthy, those with all those "comorbidities" no longer exist.
3. Undermine the previous protections adopted Congress and “enforced” by various federal departments, such as the Environmental Protections Agency.
4. Keep the white, mega-wealthy elites, the .01%, on top.

The problem with viruses.
Like gas warfare and other forms of biological warfare, viruses kill indiscriminately, especially if the winds change direction and a countering vaccine is not available.

Oh, and one more thing. Viruses have a tendency to mutate.

No one, not even the “powers that be”, are truly immune. Eventually, even the mega-wealthy will one day breathe the air outside their compounds. And, the mutated virus will be waiting for them, too.

One never knows who it will kill next.
