The first honor award has been earned by Paula Reid, Secret Service Special Agent in Charge of the Miami office. Reid, while at the risk of losing her position and career, did not shrink from performing her duties and dismissing agents for “conduct unbecoming” while protecting the President of the United States.
Second, and equally deserving, we honor and acknowledge the Leadership Conference of Women Religious for not shrinking from their love of humanity. Risking excommunication by their Church they have continued to work for the betterment of humanity.
